Several diagnostic modes to check battery condition, and also to alert if cables are attached incorrectly.

Automatic shut off after 12 hours or when current reach's 3A or less.

Automatic battery recovery mode when you first hook up your cables if needed.

Cons:
Pricey, but you get a lot of charger for $210.00.

Bottom Line:
I bet you are surprised to learn that YUASA sells battery chargers too, and yes they do. We have been using YUASA Batteries in all our ATV's & motorcycles for years and we find them to be very reliable, and are ready to start your engine when needed.

We are testing several of YUASA's chargers right now, including the MB-2440 which is featured above. I have used a lot of charger here at ATVPT, but this one is the most heavy duty charger I have ever used. Build quality is top shelf, and it has many useful functions that will allow you to safely charge your batteries.
You start by having very sturdy alligator clamps for attachment to your battery posts. You have an on/off switch to turn off the power when not in use. You also have a normal or quick charge mode if you choose to use this.

Upon attaching your cables, and turning on the power switch, the MB-2440 immediately checks to see if your cables are on correctly and if your battery is in a very low charge state. If your battery is in a very low state of charge the MB-2440 will try a recovery charge for 30 minutes.
Note: If the battery cannot recover the lights will blink to let you know your battery is toast.

The charger even has thermal protector guards to protect against transformer overheating. There is also an input/output fuse to guard against high current. To top that off the charger will automatically shut down when the battery reach's 3A or lower and or 12 hours of charging time.

I faithfully use a charger when I am not going to be using my machines for extended periods of time. If you keep your battery charged, it will last for a long time, abuse it and it will let you down, no matter what brand you use.

The bottom line is if you have a properly maintained YUASA Battery in your ATV, you are good to go!

If you are looking for a quality, durable, & versatile battery charger that you plan on keeping for awhile, then I would highly suggest taking a look at what YUASA has to offer you.
