My
Impression:
Pros:
V Force 3 have twice the reed tip surface.
Has a radius cage surface.
Simple snap-together construction.
Proprietary carbon fiber recipes.
Simple installation.
Cons:
None.
Bottom Line:
I was looking for more snap in
my throttle response, for my 09 Ski-Doo MXZ Renegade X 800R, and the search was
on! When I talked to Steve Tassinari at the Indy Show last year, he told me he
had a cure for my mid range blues with his V Force 3 Reeds.
Tassinari recommended that I go with their V Force 3
reeds and he guaranteed me that I would have a quicker throttle response,
along with getting rid of that mid range lag that is prevalent in the
800R's.
Right out of the box the V Force 3 reeds look like a million
dollars compared to the oem reeds, but when you run your motor that is where
they start to show their true colors. The first thing I noticed, was how brisk my
throttle was from 3,000 to 8,000 rpm's. There is absolutely no lag anymore, and I
can't wait to get out on the trail now!
Installation was very straight forward. Just remove your old
reeds and install the gasket and the V Force 3 Reeds, and attach your
carburetor. The hardest part is getting the carb out of the way so you can get
at your reeds.
I need to do seat time to determine how well these work on the
trail, but judging by the way my motor is running right now, I know I am going
to be very happy.
Bottom Line, if you are looking to change your sled reeds,
take a look at what Moto Tassinari has for your sled. I changed my reeds and am
glad I did!
