UNI UFV-6 Filtered AirVent review and field test by ATVPT's Patrick Saunders. Filters were provided courtesy of UNI Air Filters.

We have installed on our 2 Kawasaki Prairie project ATV's here at ATVPT the equipment listed below. In order to get more air flow through our bikes we needed to install the UNI UFV-6 Filtered Air Vents to allow more air into the air box. In doing this installation you will really wake up your bike, if you have any of the aftermarket parts installed like we are using.

ATV's that I personally have installed aftermarket equipment on here at ATVPT Headquarters:

[ATV Exhausts]
SuperTrapp Exhaust System

Muzzy Equal Length Exhaust System

HMF Exhaust System

[ATV Ignition Modules]
DynaTek

VDI

[Air Filters]
UNI

K&N
Twin Air

Carburetor Re-Jetting
Carb Parts Warehouse / Keihin Jets

Needless to say after you install cdi's, exhausts, re-snorkel, add better high flowing air filters, you will need to re-jet your carbs. In doing so you will need more air and the stock or modified carb snorkel just doesn't cut it. If you have done any of these mods you owe it to your ATV to try out the UNI UFV-6 Filtered Air Vents.

Features:

  • Foam filtered air vents increase the pre-filtered air supply to the air-box
  • May be cleaned and re-oiled
  • Sold in packs of six

Installed UFV-6's

Installation Instructions:

1: Drill a 1" hole in the air-box on a flat surface, on the incoming air side of the air element.
2: Clean around the hole with sandpaper first to get rid of any ridges caused by the drill. Push the vent into the hole until it "pop's" into place.

Note: When cleaning is required, remove only the foam element, leaving the plastic body in place. Clean the foam in warm soapy water, let dry and re-oil. Remove all excess filter oil before re-installing the foam.

Bottom Line

If you need to get more air into your ATV's carburater air box, installing the UNI Air Filer's UFV-6 Filtered AIR-Vents are the way to go. I highly recommend you doing this mod. I cannot believe the difference in overall performance increase that I have gained by adding these filters to my airbox.
