Ed Tucker began selling motor oil to motorcycle shops in the Dallas, Texas area in 1967. Soon, he leased space in a building that had once been a bowling alley and started adding new product lines. In 1972, Bob Nickell bought the company and in a few years began expanding rapidly across the U.S. The 1986 acquisitions of Wheelsport Distributing and Rocky Cycle added more capabilities, professional staff, and expanded services.
In 1989, Lacy Diversified Industries (LDI, Ltd.) of Indianapolis, Indiana acquired Tucker Rocky. LDI was once one of the largest container companies in America. After selling the core business in the 1980s, the Lacy family focused on building a group of closely held, distribution-based companies that were leaders in their respective industries.
After LDI purchased Tucker Rocky, resources were channeled to acquire NEMPCO (now Biker's Choice); a leading Harley-Davidson® aftermarket wholesaler, Malcolm Smith Racing (MSR); a leading off-road motorcycling distributor and apparel brand, and Answer Racing; a motocross apparel and parts company.
Today, Tucker Rocky operates throughout the world serving the needs of powersports retailers and enthusiasts.

ATVPT Director Patrick Saunders, attended the annual Tucker Rocky Sales Event located in a discreet location in Texas, June 02 through June 04, 2006.
I was told by people in the know that if you have not seen it at the Indy Power Sports Show, it will be at the Tucker Rocky Event (featured in either the Dealer Expo or the Vendor Showcase).
I have visited the numerous vendors, over 84. I am making the ATVPT presence know to those that are working with us, and to those that might want to work with us in the future.
I have taken lots of pictures and posted them like I did with the Indy Power Sports Show. This was an exciting event and we are very honored to be invited by Tucker Rocky to attend this years annual event.
I have uncovered some very hot news at this this event! I saw some exciting new products, revealed during my stay. I have captured these products on camera, so you can say you saw them first at ATVPT.
Meet the Tucker Rocky Team that makes it possible for your dealer to be able to bring you exciting products to dress up yourself and your ride. I have to tell you, if you come to Dallas and you want a steak that will melt in your mouth, service that is top shelf, with a Texas Welcome that will always bring you back, you've picked www.jrssteaks.com , JR's Steak House(817-355-1414).
My wife and I had the opportunity of spending our 6th wedding anniversary with JR, Johnny Ragland(Owner) and enjoying his version of Texas Hospitality. My recommendation for a steak that will leave you satisfied and unwilling to do desert( maybe a little desert), the 20 oz. Bone in "Cowboy" Ribeye and cheese cake for desert. Don't forget to start your meal with a fine bottle of wine from their available collection of over 400 separate brands of wine(pulled from their excellent wine cellar), and the JR's house salad.
The staff will pamper you from the moment the doorman opens your car door, to your excellent wait staff, to your experience with the meal, and the ultimate reluctance to leave.
I can make a quote that this steak was the finest tasting Bone in "Cowboy" Ribeye that I have ever had the pleasure to cut with a fork.
Thank you JR's, Tucker Rocky, and Texas for making us feel at home during our stay in Texas.
