| Most of us riders need to travel to our riding destinations, and one essential need for that trip is a gear bag. There is nothing worse than getting to your riding destination and realizing you forgot something at home or are missing some article of your riding gear. THOR MX has a few different gear bags on the market, and in this review I will be discussing the Kicker model gear bag. This is the largest gear bag THOR MX makes, and it’s the largest I’ve ever seen with a whopping 7 cubic feet of capacity. I can easily fit all my riding gear including helmet and boots and plus all my personal effects and still have room for more. In fact you can nearly put complete riding gear for two in this bag. | |
Field Test: |
|
| I’ve been using this gear bag for over 2 months now in which this time I’ve taken about 4 long road trips over 200 miles to riding destinations. Besides my riding gear, I also need to bring along regular clothing, personal effects and of course all my electronic gadgets like Camera, GPS and radios. I found this gear bag to have more then enough room every time I used it, which is exactly what I want from a gear bag. Every compartment in this bag is designed well for a purpose of great fit and protection. I was able to put all my gear along with my daughter’s gear in this bag with room to spare. Also this bag is designed well around organization features; 2 main gear compartments plus a ventilated boot compartment (a must for those boots that have had sweaty feet in them all day), a removable main bag divider allows for 1 extra large area, and 4 external compartments including a goggle area with lens pouch. I don’t know what else you could ask for with a gear bag, how about a free towel to wipe down after a ride? Sure, they throw that in as well! I’ve definitely tossed this bag around quite a bit and so far I am impressed with the toughness and quality of this bag. | |
