SuperTrapp IDSX Performance Exhaust Field Test & Review by ATVPT-ATVProductTests. All product used in these Field Tests & Review have been provided courtesy of SuperTrapp Performance Exhaust

I have chosen the IDSX SuperTrapp Performance Exhaust full system to install and test on our 04-Kawasaki 700 Project ATV, mainly because of it's two outstanding key features.

We are impressed by the Total Exhaust System to replace our stock boat anchor exhaust system. The SuperTrapp speaks quality from the Muffler , exhaust pipe to the stainless hardware supplied with the kit.

Two major features that you notice first off are:

A: Total tune ability, by adding or removing disc's. If you go to ride at altitude you can add or remove a disc to lean or richen your bike's carbs.

B: The header pipe is a true 2 into 1 header pipe, which should translate into more useable horse power. The stock system has 2 pipes routed into the muffler, robbing you of that true header pipe effect.

SuperTrapp IDSX Full Exhaust System versus the Stock Kawi Exhaust.

Removal and Installation

Removal of the stock system is a breeze. Just remove the 4 header nuts holding the stock pipes to the front and rear heads. Remove the 2 bolts holding the Muffler on the ATV, and loosen the clamp holding the muffler to the head pipe. Remove the Muffler with the attached rear pipe, and remove the front head pipe(Discard these boat anchors).

To install the new system just fit the new pipes to the front and rear heads. Make sure you insert the exhaust gaskets on both pipes before you install them. Install the pipe clamp when you install the 2 pipes. Keep everything loose until you have the pipes lined up. Tighten down the header nuts on the front and rear cylinders. Tighten the pipe clamp. Install the Muffler and tighten the muffler clamp and tighten the single muffler bolt and you are done.

Notice the true 2 into 1 header design.

Removable Disc's to tune your Exhaust System. I am running 9 Disc's.

Installed and sounding very nice. It appears to not be much louder then stock, but it emits a very nice purr. Great Job SuperTrapp.
