I chose to do the front shocks first.
I found it easier to get at the front shocks by removing the front tires first. If you are doing this in your garage at home I would suggest doing one side at a time for safety.
Spray a liberal amount of bolt penetrating lube on the nuts before you remove them like shown above.
Now is a good time to clean your top mount and spray it with high quality lube. We use our chain lube.

Now is the time to install your urethane bushings in both shock ends.
You will also need to install the boots, and attach them with the supplied tie wrap. The boot only fits one way with the large opening towards the bottom og the shock.
I spray my bushings with a quality lube. This keep the bushings from squeaking.

8

You will need to insert the steel bushing into the bottom urethane bushing.
The top of the shock does not use a steel bushing as shown in picture 8.

10

Make sure you clean off the top shock tower bolt and spray it with good quality lube. Remember there is no metal bushing in the top shock urethane bushing!
Install your shock, and torque shock bolts to spec. Do not over torque and flatten out your bushings.

Rear Shocks:

13

Before I started my rear shock installation I found it easier to work on the shocks by removing the spare tire. This gives you wide open field of view to get at the shocks for removal. There is no need to remove the rear wheels from the vehicle.
Once again spray your shock bolts with penetrating lube to make for easier removal of the nuts.
Remove your oem shocks and clean up the shock mounts.
Lube your top shock mount, and make sure there are no sharp edges. This will tear the bushing, and you don't want that!

SkyJacker Shock compared to the OEM Shock.
SkyJacker shock shown with red boot installed, urethane bushings installed, and steel bushing installed in lower shock bushing. Remember there is no steel bushings in the rear shock top bushing either.

15

16

Picture 15 shows the steel bushing installed in the lower red shock bushing.
Picture 16 shows the top red bushing. remember there is no steel bushing in all the top mounts on this application.
Remember to spray the bushings and your top mount bolts with quality lube to help keep the bushings from squeeking.

17

Attach your rear shocks and torque your nuts to spec, remembering not to flatten out your urethane bushings.
Make sure all your wheel lug nuts are tight before you road test.
Re attach your spare tire, and you are ready to road test.

My Impressions:

Pending Ride review.
