My Impressions:
Pros:
Easy installation, drill one hole, install, plug in, and your done.
Provides hook up for helmet or other heated garments.
Sled is pre-wired to allow you to simply plug into the existing wiring harness.
Cons:
None.
Bottom Line:
If you wear a helmet with an electric face shield, the you will need an electrical outlet port to plug your helmet into. A good choice is the Ski-Doo Heated Visor Kit.
Most helmets that have heated shields usually come with a wire to attach to your sled's battery, but this leaves you with dangling wires that just looks wrong. With the Ski-Doo Heated Visor Kit, you mount it permanently in your sleds dash. This allows for a clean looking factory like installation.
An added benefit is you can use this plug for other heated accessories that you might have, like a vest, etc..
Installation is very easy and can be done with minimal effort on your part. Just follow the directions that come with your kit. Drill the hole, mount your plug, plug your wires into the harness and you are done.
Bottom line is if you use a heated shield and you want a clean looking factory plug set up, the the Ski-Doo Heated Visor Kit is the way to go. I have this set up and like it much better then having a wire dangling on your sled like some have.
