Installation was not difficult at all. I was expecting some force-fit requirements,BUT there werent any.
1. Standing the ATV up on the rear grab bar will make the installation easier. Use a rag or cardboard to protect your grab bar. Remember to keep your bike anchored so it will not fall when you are working on it.
4. Attach the rear skid plate, DO not tighten at this time.
5. Install, but DO not tighten the floorboard brackets. Hold the floorboard skid plate in position and look for interference with the front or rear skid plates, adjust as required. The rear skid plate has slots for adjustment.
6. Tighten the rear skid plate.
7. Hold the floorboard skid plate in place to check location of these attach points. Move the floorboard brackets as required to align with the holes in the floorboard skid plate and tighten. Attach floorboard skid plate.
Bottom line, If you want to protect your investment I would recommend installing after market skid plates. If you choose Ricochet, you will not be disappointed in the appearance, quality, fit and finish or function of this great armor.
Now with the Ricochet skid plates installed on my Renegade I can hit the trails with the confidence that I will not do unneeded damage to my machines underside now.
