Riding my bike without tunes is not the same experience as it should be. At first, I would use my riding jacket’s pocket to hold my iPod and I would fumble for the buttons when I needed to change the song. I would have to remove the iPod completely from my jacket to adjust the volume. This is not really possible to do while driving a motorcycle.

In order to have the convenience of listening to music while riding and have the opportunity to ride safer, I installed a RAM mount to the handle bars. There are multiple options available to do this. You can get short or long arms, quick disconnects, locks, chrome, black, iPod holder, generic water proof holders, GPS holders, etc.

The parts that I ordered allowed me to quickly take any of the accessories from my motorcycle to the ATV, to the Jeep, to the boat. RAM uses a standard hole pattern and I have found that there are several devices that fit the generic RAM mounts.

I did find that the iPod mount did not fit my 80G Classic perfectly, but if I tilt it back in the mount, it still works and I am able to plug the headphones in without it hitting the mount.

I can’t imagine not having the convenience of the RAM mounts in the boat, on the ATV and on the motorcycle. RAM has made the experience that much better.
