What it takes to Set-up a Display :

Saturday at the Monona Terrace was set up time for all the vendors. This allotted time was when they dug through the multitude of  their display crates, and feverishly dove into set up mode.
Your roving atvpt.com reporter experienced what is known to many sailors, as being Shanghaied into service. The Duro Tire Team pressed me into service and I got a first hand lesson what it is like to set up for one of these shows. let me tell you it may look simple, but I was told you should approach each set-up different. I guess every show space that they are allotted is not the same size, nor shape.
We quickly found a rhythm, and got the flooring set, the base stands in position for maximum exposure for the dealers to see their product.Next came the precise loading of the racks to have the correct tires where they should be, matched up by type and features. Next came hanging the signs with the correct tires, and the banner.
Voila, a perfect tire display.
Finally pack the crates, and get them out of the way until they were needed for packing up the display and off to the next show. This is a task that is performed every time each individual vendor comes to one of these shows.
Multiply this times 186, and you have the core of the 2006 Showcase. If you think show day is busy, set-up day is like being in the middle of a bee hive of controlled & coreograpghed activity. I thank the Duro Tire Team for my education in Display Set-Up One-O-One.

Most Unique Display:

During my tour through the display area I came across what I had to say was the most unique display of the showcase. I saw this and I had to hang around and see how it worked. To me this was a very slick way of showing off their products. All they had to do was wheel it into their booth and crank up the display, unfolding their display in one easy motion.
Fast, easy, and very efficient.
