I jumped at the chance to review PowerMadds Rider Hold-Tight safety harness. I
carry two up all the time here on the farm, and if Michigan law allowed it I
would carry two on the trails. I feel part of the excitement of riding ATV's is
sharing the experience with non riders, or people that are too young to ride
themselves.
Anything that I can do to make the ride safer for my kids will work for me.
I find the two position grips to work great for not only young kids, but adults
as well. Yes there are times when I ride my motorcycle that the person riding
wants that extra confidence of a secure grip. I found that while giving some of
my male buddies a ride, they highly preferred to hanging onto the PowerMadd
Rider Hold-Tight Harness instead of wrapping their arms around my waist ( go figure,
eh).
We see uses for this harness for every sport where you ride double, and
would quite simply like that peace of mind that your passenger will be with you
at the end of the ride.
I also like the fact that if you dump whatever you are riding, the
passenger can just simply let go and not be stuck to you like some of the other
harnesses that attach the passenger to the rider.
Cons:
I feel that it is a struggle to educate people to use this harness. Now a
days it seems like people are moving so fast, it is work to slow down long enough to
take a few safety steps that might protect their valued passengers.
Bottom Line:
You betcha, I most definitely endorse the use of the PowerMadd Rider Hold Tight
Harness. I would like to see the State change their rules, to allow double
riding if you are using the Rider Hold-Tight Harness.
After all, if we can make the riders & the trails safer through the use of products that PowerMadd offers, lets do our part.
