Product:	- µ2 Sports Mask

Introduction:
	We all love to ride especially when the conditions are great; unfortunately, the conditions are not always great. Out here in the West, the trails get very dry and the dust becomes almost unbearable in the summer and in the winter, the temperatures get down in the single digits. µ2 “Mu Two” has come up with a mask for making those extreme conditions bearable.
First Impression:
	We received the new black sports mask and the camouflage sports mask for testing. When I first tried on the sports mask, I was impressed with how easily I could breathe through the filter material.
Field Test:
	I took these masks to the Paiute ATV trail in Central Utah hoping that I could ride closer to my friends and not have unhealthy breathing conditions. Typically, after half a day of riding on the Paiute in the summer, I will be coughing due to the dust that my lungs have ingested and my nose will be clogged to the point that I cannot breathe through it. When I wore the mask, I could ride as close to the person in front of me as I wanted. Now the problem isn’t breathing, it is seeing. I was able to get so close that it was unsafe due to lack of visibility and I was still able to breathe just fine.     The masks attach with Velcro behind your head and there is a nose clip that you can bend to fit the shape of your nose. The Velcro is a long strip making it adjustable. When wearing a helmet, it is difficult to get the mask to fit on my face in the right spot and it is only amplified by putting goggles on top of that. The nose piece sits on my nose in exactly the same spot as my goggles and the pressure from my goggles makes the aluminum nose piece fit uncomfortably. After using the mask for several days of riding, I got used to fitting my helmet and goggles over the mask and the nose piece didn’t bother me as much as it did at first.     The masks are easy to clean, just rinse it off and let it dry. The mask uses a “MicroAirScreen” filtration material, so it does not get clogged like a mask that uses an “entraining pad” would. The mask comes with a small zippered pouch to carry it in when it is not being used; this is a nice feature and it will keep the mask from getting dirty unnecessarily.     I recently went on a large group ride in Moab, Utah and the dust content was extremely high. I didn't hesitate to take the mask out and use it. I could ride much closer to the person in front of me and the more I wear the mask, the more I am getting used to the fit. The best part is that I can breath normal, without any noticeable restriction.

Bottom Line
