Lil Mule 2x9 Fuel Can Holder review and field test by ATVPT's Patrick Saunders. Fuel Can Holder was provided courtesy of Lil Mule Trailer Company.
I am told by Lil Mule, that when yer ridin' the trail,
food and drink for you and extra gas for the 4 wheeler are a must! Here's the
best way to do it, mount a Lil Mule 2x9 Fuel Can Holder which comes with a cooler that will easily keep your goodies cool all day,
and the extra 2 1/2 gallons will keep you from walkin'.

Lil Mule Statements:
When
you're out trail riding, the thought of running out of anything is difficult to
handle...the thought of running out of gas, however, is down right frightening.
Now there are many other options out there to make sure you have enough "go-go"
juice, but take a minute and look at what our system offers you.
Our fuel
can holders can be mounted on the back of your ATV behind your rear rack
so you still have that storage for other things (or maybe just leg room). Some
models come with other storage containers like dry boxes and coolers so you can
pack other gear and food and drink on the rack.
Our model of fuel can
holders fit most models of ATVs including Polaris, Arctic Cat, Honda, Kawasaki,
Suzuki, Can-Am, and more...
Plus, all our kits come complete with
everything you need to bolt onto the respective ATVs. These are by far the best
alternative fuel sources you'll find around!
Features:
One 2.5 gallon gas can and one 9 quart cooler
Cooler:
This cooler makes it way too easy to have trail snacks with you. You never know
when you want to just stop and enjoy the outdoors. What do you think, hot
coffee, cider, homemade muffins, what a way to spend some very precious moments
with your ATV buddy
Getting ready for winter trail work!
First Impressions:
Pros:
This gas can/cooler combo is a great idea and very practical. Extra gas and trail snacks. It is very easy to carry some extra fuel without taking up extra space on your racks. Fill up your cooler at your house and stick in the rack, and you are ready to feed that hunger urge while on the trail.
The rack is built tough and powder coated and should last a long time.
I also found that my saw fit perfect in the rack when you removed the gas can and cooler. This is a plus when we are out doing trail maintenance.
Cons:
None so far.
Bottom Line
I am very quickly starting to appreciate having the extra carrier with spare fuel and trail snacks. This piece of equipment could really come in handy on many occasions while riding or doing trail chores. I would recommend this to anyone that travels beyond their atv's fuel range or just wants to have that piece of mind with extra fuel and some comfort food to boot.
