First Impressions:Nice racy looking lines. Race bred with all the right quality parts,
that make it a contender in its class. This is going to be an exciting
long term review. Hold on to your seats, because this is going to be
fun.
My Impressions:
Pros:
Good looks
Fit & finish excellent.
Motor is bullet proof.
Running gear such as tires, brakes etc. are excellent.
Long term durability, excellent.
Cons:
My model is cold blooded, but the newer models have had a carburetor change and this issue is fixed.
Front wheels bent easy, but they are aluminum and this is after all a sport quad.
Bottom Line:
Here is just another atv from Kymco that just runs & runs all day. We have had this atv for a very extended long term review, and I find it to be almost bullet proof.
Once you have it warmed up, it will run all day with out any issues. Handling is right up there with any mid sized entry level sport atv, with it's sporty suspension & Kenda tires.
I would recommend this atv for any entry level person that is looking for an atv with looks, style, easily managed power, and a cvt clutch for effortless driving control.
This is another atv that requires little maintenance. We did our usual oil changes, added gas, greased the fittings, and regular chain maintenance. The wheels I crunched were from excessive hard trail riding, and that is all I could do to slow this little trail burner down.
We have driven this atv on trails, through muddy creeks, and even on the sand Dunes at Silver Lake Michigan. This entry level sport atv took it's rider through everything with ease and with no complaints either.
Is it a power house, no, but do you want a bunch of power for someone who is just starting to ride, not. I want an atv that you don't have to worry about shifting gears, has excellent braking, handles like a sport atv should, is good on gas, and looks like a sport atv should.
Let's face it, the Kymco Mongoose 300 gives you all that, and delivers a quality riding experience too!
