Most ATV’s come with a pretty good sized tank to supply the average rider enough fuel for the day. However, some of us ATV riders like to take extended trips on our machines, taking long scenic rides exploring the countryside. One of the worst things that could happen on an extended ride is running out of fuel. Some of us may ride further and require more fuel, or just desire having the peace of mind of knowing you won’t run out if you so happened to get lost or veer of course. Also it’s nice to help a fellow rider on the trail who may be in need of fuel or water. Kolpin offers a couple different options for fuel packs, including this Fuel Pack Jr. which holds 1 ¼ Gallon of fuel.

You can either use this Fuel Pack Jr. with its provided universal mounting hardware, or you can use it with the Lock and Load system for fast and easy mounting and removal. I chose to use the Lock and Load system since I’d only be using this on occasional extended ride trips. Mounting this fuel pack is a pleasure and is quite easy. A well designed and easy to use mounting system with a large thumb nut and bracket holds the fuel pack nice and secure. Filling and pouring fuel is very easy thanks to the provided flexible pour spout and venting cap. This is a nice adaptable and small profile fuel pack you can mount anywhere on your front or rear rack of any quad, or perhaps even strap in a “6-pack” rack.
