I chose to mount the GBC Paddle Master tires on some .190 aluminum wheels in order to keep them light weight. These paddles are thicker than most paddles that I have seen making them less likely to rip or tear when going in between those sand, mud, or snow conditions. The side walls are two ply in an attempt to make them light weight and still maintain the strength.
I was able to get one good weekend of riding in before the dunes got covered in snow and I am really excited about these tires. 25” paddles on 12” wheels is not a very common setup and from what I can tell so far, Greenball has done a fine job designing this tire. One of my initial concerns with putting paddle tires on a 4WD machine was that the turning would be affected in a bad way. I am happy to report that there is still plenty of control and it might even have been improved. As far as traction goes, I am amazed at how easily that my ATV can go some of the places in the sand that used to give me difficulty. My sand dune experience is much more enjoyable now that I have Paddle Masters. |

Update: June 2007 |
|
| I am very happy with the performance of the 25" Paddle Masters and they have taken me miles and miles through the sand dunes. Unfortunately, if you want to buy the 25" Paddle Masters, you are going to have to find a set that is lingering around, or make special arrangements with GBC. GBC has informed me that due to lack of demand for the 25" on a 12" wheel, they are no longer going to stock the 25" tires, but they will accommodate special orders. Call GBC for more details. | |
