My Impressions:

Pros:
8 ply radial construction.

Shoulder lugs for better traction and side wall protection.

Unique zig-zag thread design that gives you that bone like appearance.

Vibration free ride at any speed.

Rugged tread design wears like iron but rides excellent.

Cons:
None yet.

Bottom Line:

This Grim Reaper tire from GBC Motorsports tire could hit a home run on looks alone. The aggressive zig-zag bone looking thread design in definitely an eye catcher.

We first tried this tire out in the wintry conditions in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan where it rode through the snow with ease.

What sets it apart from the rest of the pack is it's 8 ply radial construction. This tire has proved to be very durable and puncture resistant on the trails. I look forward to running this tire with confidence on other test platforms. One of which will be the 2010 Can-Am Renegade 800R Xxc, which we have here for long term review.

Ride qualities and handling characteristics have been determined to be very stable at all speeds, and are vibration free, which I can't say about some of the tires that we have reviewed here. For an 8 ply construction the ride is very compliant, and predictable.

This tire combo has proven to be a very reliable, and trail worthy tire that will make a good home on any ATV or UTV/UXV.

Is it a dedicated mud tire, no, but it is not meant to be either, but don't let's it's good looks fool you, because the Grim Reapers will sling mud with the best of them.

So, the bottom line is, so far I have run them in snow, mud, sand, and rocky conditions without any hesitation whatsoever. In my opinion the Grim Reapers make a really nice all around tire that will wear like iron, but rides like a true radial should.

GBC Motorsports has really raised the bar on tire designs for 09. I can't wait to see what they come up with next. In the mean time these Grim Reapers are going to be my main, and only tire that we run on the KYMCO UXV 500 build project.

I highly recommend taking a look at what GBC Motorsports can do for you, when it comes to find a quality, durable, fair priced set of tires for your off road vehicle
