First Impressions: |
|
| GBC has updated their design on the Dirt Devil. The new design has less distance between the lugs creating 2 extra lugs on the 25” tire. They also added terrain spikes; I am unsure if these spikes have any actual use other than making it easier to tell the Dirt Devil II apart from the original Dirt Devil. The DDII has the same great wheel protection and strong 6 ply sidewalls. | |

We have put over 1500 miles on these tires. The Dirt Devil II is far superior to the factory tires that are provided by Kawasaki. The 6 ply side wall has proven itself on the extreme terrain that Utah has to offer. We have not had any punctures or bead problems.
The DDII is more of an all terrain tire with the strong points being dirt. They do much better than the stock tires in both sand and mud, but with the lugs being so close together, they don’t clean out fast enough for that sticky mud and in the sand they are good enough to get where you want to go. On hard pack, at high speeds, the tires tend to wander a little. We expected much more tire wear from these tires for the amount of miles that we have put on, but it is surprising that the tires have worn so well. The terrain spikes in between the lugs have not created any noticeable performance changes either good or bad. They do look pretty cool though. There is a lip where the tire mounts to the wheel creating some wheel protection. This is a nice feature due to all of the rocks and tree branches that we encounter on our ATVs. When you have expensive wheels, it helps ease your mind that there is some rubber there to help pad the wheels for those expected blows. |
