My Impressions:
Pros:
DP clutch comes in a very professions package, and appears to be top shelf.
Kit comes with a complete clutch package including Friction Plates, Steel Drive Plates, and Clutch Springs.
Clutches come pre-oiled, with no need to soak before installing.
Steel construction, for less warpage and fade.
Cons:
None yet.
Bottom Line:
We chose DP Brakes because of their reputation for building quality products. With what we are doing to the 08 Yamaha Raptor project, we need an excellent clutch package that will be strong and enable our ATV to really hook up nice under hard acceleration.
We all know that will happen, and happen lots!
We are going to do Dyno runs at HMF and see what the stock base line numbers are, then we will be installing the DP Clutch to see if there is any difference in the dyno runs. I am sure we will be able to tell from seat of the pants running that this set up is exactly what the doctor ordered for this little Yamaha.
Note: Long term testing will give us more data about durability and performance gains.
