Pre-Filter Features:

Pre-Filter Installation:

Step # 1 :
Remove the seat.

Step # 2 :
Remove the front cover, and prop up the instrument pod.
          This will allow easier access to remove the air box lid.

Step # 3 :
Remove the air box lid.
Now is a perfect time to clean your air filter.

Step # 4 :
The pre-filter will slip right on over the outside of the air filter while in position.
If you remove the air filter to clean it, which I recommend, install your pre-filter then.

Step # 5 :
Re-install your air box lid, plastic seat, and you are ready to ride.
Note: Check your air filter & pre-filter on a regular basis, especially after driving in dusty, sandy and muddy conditions.

My Impressions:

Pros:
This pre-filter assists your stock air filter to help keep small particles out of your engine.
This should definately keep your engine much more free of small foreign materials, that enter your engine through your air intake.

Material is durable and can be easily washed to remove sand or other particles.

Cons:
None. Anything that helps your engine to breath cleaner air, is a plus in my book.

Bottom Line:
I have been using pre-filters very similar to the Can-Am Pre-Filter on my other ATV's for over 3 years now, and I am very pleased with the filtering performance it offers.
I highly recommend that you install this pre-filter if you operate your ATV in sandy, dusty conditions like I do. This extra protection will most definately help protect your valuable engine from premature failure, due to sucking in small particulates that your stock filter lets slip by.

Note: Your Can-Am stock filter is of high quality and can be cleaned also. This filter works very well for most situations, but I like the added protection the pre-filter provides you.

My advice, be prepared, and install the Can-Am Pre-Filter today!
