We have installed the BRP Full-Body Skid Plate and the A-Arm Protectors on the 06 BRP Outlander 800 XT, that we have here at ATVPT for long term field tests and review. My first Impressions are that the BRP machine needs under belly protection, just like any machine out there today. I think one of the first investments you make for your ATV should be a Skid Plate & A-Arm Protectors.

• The BRP Skid Plate is top quality like everything else they produce. But be ready for a struggle to install it. It is a very snug fit and requires some dexterity in your fingers to get the nuts on the bolts, to tighten the plate to the frame. Otherwise it fits like a glove and should act like a large ski sliding over the snow and mud.

• Installing the A-Arm Protectors are a breeze. They really give your ATV that rugged look and should save that A-Arm assembly in style.

• Two-piece 3/16" aluminum full-body skid plate designed to protect frame and engine case from rough terrain conditions.

• Pros:
• I have finished the install of the BRP Skid Plates and the A-Arm Protectors, and have found them to be of the highest quality of skid plates that I have encountered so far. Fit and finish is superb. Fitment and installation top notch, and very snug.
• Cons:
• I would like to see BRP provide a rear Skid Plate, and also Rear Axle Guards to complete their Skid Plate package. This would make it a perfect package.
• Bottom Line:
• I would highly recommend installing this or any skid plate & A-Arm combo on your ATV.
