We have installed the Heated Hand Grip Kit on our Test ATV BRP Outlander 800XT here at ATVPT. In my opinion these are a must for cold weather riding. The installation is very straight forward as long as you follow the BRP instructions. They are very clear and concise.

• An easy to install kit to keep your hands toasty warm while riding! Kit includes a 3-positions switch, switch cover, wiring harness, hand grip and handlebar end cap. Grips are 4 7/8" long with an interior diameter of 7/8". Individual grip heat control can be set to High (20 watts) or low (10 watts).

Installation of the grips are a breeze. Remove the old grips from the ATV( I had to use a razor knife to cut them off.). Remove and clean the bars so the new grips will slide on without being hung up by anything. I used a rubber mallet to gently slide them on the bars.

After you have the new heated grips on you need to install the provided end caps. Make sure you remove the handlebar plastic to allow you to run the wires and tie wrap them to the bars.

You need to have the center panel removed and the Speedo Console pushed forward to allow access to the wiring harness and also to install your switch. Your wiring harness snaps into these holes. There was only one and I just drilled another out so both harnesses would snap down, making a neater package under your console.

Install your switch, hook up your wires and you are ready. Make sure that you position the wires on your switch in the correct location. Button it back up and you are ready to ride with warm hands.

My first impressions of the BRP Heated hand Grips are, this is the way to drive an ATV during cold weather. During a ride through my woods with freezing weather my hands were toasty. I would highly recommend the BRP Heated hand Grips to anyone that rides in cool or colder weather like me.
