BRP Bombardier Outlander 800 XT CVT Drain Hole

This article is to set it straight, that the BRP Outlander 800 XT does have a cvt drain hole built in. I will point out exactly where it is and how you can use it. It can be easily gained access with the floor boards in place. I just took off the floor boards to make it easier to see where the bolt hole drain is located. I hope this clears up some myths about this issue.

a: With the floor boards removed you can see the cvt drain hole better.
b: The most bottom rear bolt hole is the cvt drain hole.
c: You must completely remove the bolt to allow the water to drain out of your cvt cover.
d: Clearly see the drain hole.

e: Inside of your cvt cover.
f: Clearly see how the rubber seal goes around the outside of the bolt hole to allow water to drain out.
g: Nice close up of the BRP's cvt drain hole.
h: Just remove the bolt, drain the water, let the machine set at idle to dry out the belt, replace the bolt and away you go again. This time don't do the submarine thing again(at least not twice in one day).
