There is a pretty wide selection of ATV wagons on the market today. There is a good variety of light duty wagons to heavy duty trailers. There is a variety of sizes, styles and material also available. I think the most important factors when choosing a wagon are:
1. What size suits my ATV, have a small or Large ATV? Consider wagon size, tongue and tow weight. 2. What am I going to haul? Consider wagon size, hauling capacity, design (Plastic, Aluminum or Steel) 3. Where am I going to use it? Consider weight, ground clearance, tire size/design. Next, the most important factors to me are quality and value. If its a steel or aluminum wagon look at the thickness, weld quality, hardware, paint or coating quality. If its plastic or poly, consider thickness, hardware, construction, your environmental elements etc. Also look into accessories and goodies like add on brackets, lighting etc. We found this Bosski ATV Wagon at a dealer trade show and looked to suit the challenge of some ATVPT style testing. My first impression of this wagon is heavy to medium duty. Starting with the frame is a very rigid thick 2 square steel frame with good quality welding and powder coated. This wagon boasts a volume of 14.7 Cubic ft., GVWR of 800 lbs. and 11 of ground clearance with its 25 tires. Great features like double hinged tail gate for dumping or removal, and a strong manual dump mechanism. This wagon comes in Red or Forest Green, and comes with lights...nice! |

Field Testing: |
|
| I used this wagon for a couple months now, hauling firewood, hauling and dumping gravel and some recreational trail riding. This wagon was very impressive hauling a capacity load of gravel and dumping into the driveway. The suspension is stiff enough to handle a 800lb capacity load, and yet felt agile enough to comfortably pull down the trail empty at speeds up to 50mph. The 25 ATV type tires proved to perform great when navigating through the woods, crossing creek beds and climbing over downed trees, and traversing side hills. With a full load of gravel, I released the dump handle and the load dumped with ease and control. | |

Cons: |

Wagon is extremely top heavy, and is very unpredictable when fully loaded. The dumping latch pin mechanism is sub par, and needs to be made of a stronger material. We bent our pin continuously and replaced it with a hardened steel pin, ($12.00 at TSC) and resolved this issue. If this is left in the original configuration you could loose what ever load you are carrying.Note: Bosski offers a latch to fix this issue, but in my opinion this is just a band-aid to mask a very serious design flaw. |

| If you are looking for a heavy to medium duty ATV wagon, I recommend you look to the variety of ATV wagons Bosski offers. |
Patrick Saunders Impressions:
When I saw the Bosski ATV Wagon in their ad online, I thought this was a regular sized 2 wheel wagon. When you see it person, you realize it is a lot bigger then the swisher we are testing. When you hook it up and start to put it through it's paces, the wagons features start to jump out at you. First thing my wife noticed when she was following me, was the way the suspension worked ( it really makes the load ride better). I also appreciate having tie downs to secure your load ( this is a must to keep whatever you are carrying secure). I really do not want to use a wagon on my trails that does not have the larger atv style of tires and wheels. The smaller wheels tear up the trails too much. This is an outstanding feature offered by the Bosski ATV Wagon. One of the sweetest features is the 2 way tail gate ( In my photo's you can see it down letting the load extend past the end of the wagon. It also opens from the bottom as well to dump your load if needed, like sand or, well you know what I mean. Remember the wagon dumps as well.)
Wants:
A: I would like to see extra hold downs on the bed, to provide you with more securing points to anchor your load with ( I like to have that load secure.).
B: I would like to see a cover to put over a load that you would like to keep dry. This would be something you could install and remove like a soft tarp on a pick up truck bed.
Not so sure:
A: I was provided with an extra hold down for the front dump latch. After using the trailer I do personally think you need it ( This is an upgrade for the 06 models.). I would highly recommend that Bosski re-engineer this area of the wagon.
