Product Review

Product: - Smith Optics Hudson Street series sunglasses (Gunmetal frames w/Platinum Mirror lenses)

Introduction:

Whether you ride snowmobiles, dirt bikes, atvs, or even downhill ski, you have most likely heard of Smith Optics. Smith has been a big name for as long as I can remember. I have owned a number of their goggles in the past and can attest to their high quality standards.

I had known about their sun glasses line in the past but had not had a chance to try them out until recently.

First Impressions:

Upon first inspection, the fit and finish of the Smith Hudson series glasses was top notch. They are clean with no molding lines or rough edges like you would find on a pair of budget (gas station) sun glasses. I opted for the Gunmetal Gray with Platinum Mirror lenses. I find them attractive and sporty without being too flashy.

The lenses offer great non-glaring sun, and wind protection. I have had a chance to wear these on my motorcycle, ATV, and while doing general outdoor activities such as softball. They fit great and stay put on my head without the fear that they will fly off or move enough to reduce the amount of protection. It is sometimes difficult to find a good fitting pair of glasses which offer the type of wind protection needed for motorcycle riding. The Smith Hudson sunglasses fit the bill very well especially in this category, as you can see by the pictures. They also fit very well under both my ATV and motorcycle helmets.

Overall:

In the past I have owned a couple of different brands of very high dollar sunglasses. In most cases you get what you pay for, but I can honestly say with Smith you get a little more for a few dollars less. These glasses are reasonably priced and offer the type of style and protection that I am looking for as a motor sports enthusiast. I didn’t just wear these glasses to take a few pictures and post a review, I have been wearing these glasses daily since I received them and am very happy with them in every way. I would recommend them for anyone who lives an action filled lifestyle like me. These glasses will work great whether you’re cruising down the boulevard on your motorcycle, or tearing down the trail on you ATV.

These glasses come with a lifetime warranty. I am not aware of too many other sunglass manufacturers who are willing to stand behind their product in this way.
