For my quad I prefer to use a dual density foam filter for its
superb filtering qualities, high performance integrity, and easy
cleaning. No Toil Industries is one company that makes such products.
The company roots from a history of riding and racing, and we here at
ATVPT genuinely appreciate that. No Toil offers a unique, truly
biodegradable and complete system with the oil, cleanser, rim grease
and air box cleaner. I like how this filter comes in a very light
color, of course this makes it easier to determine how dirty it is. My
OEM filter was a very dark color and that just makes it harder to
evaluate how dirty it is. When I installed this filter I used the air
box cleanser to clean the box and my filter element screen, the
cleanser works great! I also like to put filter oil on my air box
cover, this acts like more filter area by attracting dirt that is
blowing around inside the box. |

I have been riding with this filter now for about 2 months and
over 200miles of trail riding through sand, mud and of course plenty of
dirt. My machine ran great and performed quite well while using this
filter. I did run through a considerable range of temps, humidity and
rain. Through all conditions, my machine ran flawlessly. No toil has
proven with Dyno testing this product can increase horsepower, to view

With this filter in my sport utility quad, I can’t say I
specifically noticed any performance gain, but it definitely performed
perfect. I inspected the filter after about 8hrs of riding in some
dusty conditions and I was pretty amazed how dirty the filter was (see
pictures below). Wow! There was a thick layer of dirt on the outside of
the filter, but the inside was absolutely clean. This is all the proof
I need so that I can surely say this filter works very well. Then it
was time to clean, this task I normally dread, but cleaning this filter
was by far the easiest I’ve done. Mix the cleaning powder with warm
water and throw in the filter and in less then a minute it was clean!
Amazing! Other filters I’ve used I’ve had to soak for 10mins and so on.
You don’t need to even wear rubber gloves, but I did just out of habit.
The filter oil is safe for your hands, but it is awfully sticky and I
needed to keep my hands clean for taking pictures. |
