The EICMA Milan Show Press Dinner
There is no question that the Dealernews International Dealer Expo in Indy is the highlight of the year for U.S. powersports dealers. However the Dealer Expo cant hold a candle to the granddaddy of all tradeshows held in Milan, Italy. The Espozione Internazionale Ciclismo e Motocislismo (EICMA) is the world's largest powersports show and it is literally 10 times the size of the U.S. Dealer Expo, occupying 260,000 square meters of total exhibit space (think eight giant airplane hangers, plus a 85,000 sq/meter outdoor demo area, complete with full size race tracks added on) with giant pavilions from all the OEMs and more than 1,300 aftermarket exhibitors from 31 different countries.
Although other international trade shows seems to be scaling back or even going on complete hiatus like the big Paris show, the Milan show is ramping up! To help spread the good news to the U.S. trade press, EICMA director Costantino Ruggiero, the Italian Trade Commission and the ANCMA (Italian trade association) hosted a media dinner in Indy. Not only is the Milan show on track to be bigger than ever this fall, EICMA is expanding with a trade show in China this spring.
The new Exhibition will be called EICMA CHINA The Motorcycle Show and the first edition will take place in Beijing, China. The organizers set their goal of creating a show that will fill 30,000 square meters of exhibit space in the first year, and the medium-range goal is to reach 100,000 square meters of exhibit space by 2015.
In fact, Costantino and Motorcycle Industry Council president Tim Buche were on their way to China immediately after the Dealer Expo in Indy to finalize some of the details for the Chinese version of EICMA. Look for all the leading magazines and websites in the powersports industry to be following up on this big deal, but JPS captured some exclusive photos from the press dinner to help wet your appetite for Peking Duck this spring!

Sport ATV rear wheel bearing upgrade kit:
Many newer
sport ATVs utilize (2) back to back bearings in the rear carrier. Some only on
the drive side, others on both sides. Typically the outer bearings are the
first to show signs of failure because they carry a larger amount of the load.
Our new bearing design is a double row angular contact bearing (similar to the
bearings used in current aftermarket billet carriers) The load is shared more
equally across both bearing rows giving 30% great life and due to the angular
contact design the bearing has 30% great load carrying
capacity.
Kawasaki Brute Force KVF650i and 750 A Arm upgrade. The current design features a needle bearing and spherical bearing. The spherical bearing must handle the thrust load of the ATV. Once is begins to wear it allows the seals to move away from the frame mount giving a pathway for water and dirt to get into the bearing assembly. Our upgrade design replaces the bearing assemblies with Acetal bushings and precision ground pins. The thrust load and axial load are better handled by the bushing design greatly extending the life of the A Arm bearing assembly.
